Old gold is still gold

How old gold is assessed
Items are separated first, because a set often contains pieces of different purity, and some parts may not be gold at all. Stones, lac filling and thread are removed from the calculation. What remains is weighed, tested and shown to you as net gold weight with the purity we have arrived at.
